IMO at the UN Ocean Conference 2025

IMO was present at the 2025 UN Ocean Conference with a dedicated team led by IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez. The Conference took place from 9 to 13 June 2025 in Nice, France.

Ahead of the UN Ocean Conference, IMO Secretary-General participated in the Blue Economy and Finance Forum 2025 that was held from 7 to 8 June 2025 in Monaco, France.

IMO, the Government of France and the Government of Costa Rica, in partnership with FAO and UNDP, are organizing a side event under the theme "Sustainable Shipping: Our ocean | Our obligation | Our opportunity" at the UN Ocean Conference 2025. This event will focus on ocean governance, maritime decarbonization, and sustainable shipping.
