Former IMO Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Jean Queguiner remembered

Mr. Jean Queguiner, Administrateur Général des Affaires Maritimes and former Deputy Secretary-General of IMO (1968-1977), has died in France.

IMO Secretary-General Mr. Efthimios E. Mitropoulos expressed his sincere condolences and those of the IMO staff to Mr. Queguiner's family.

"Mr. Queguiner was greatly respected during his years with IMO (then IMCO) for his wisdom and his wholehearted dedication to the aims and objectives of the Organization. He will be remembered with affection and gratitude," Mr. Mitropoulos said.

Mr. Queguiner died in Paris on 6th August 2004. He was 83 years old.
