Saint Kitts and Nevis joins IMO

Saint Kitts and Nevis has become a Member of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), following its deposit, on 8 October 2001, of an instrument of acceptance of the Convention on the International Maritime Organization, as amended, with the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

With the accession of St. Kitts and Nevis, the number of IMO Member States stands at 160.
