As in previous years, the IMO building will be closed during the festive season from Monday, 24th December 2012 until Tuesday, 1st January 2013 inclusive. We encourage you to place any stock orders before Friday 14th December to ensure a timely delivery.

We should like to remind you that the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, 2012 Edition (incorporating Amendment 36-12) 2 volumes will be on sale in late November 2012. The English editions will be followed by the French and Spanish versions by March 2013. Please see the IMDG Code mailer for further information.

The latest edition of The IMO-Vega Database (Version 17), 2012 will be available late November. This version will, for the first time, include both volumes of the IMDG Code 2010 and 2012 Editions, the IMDG Code Supplement, 2010 Edition as well as three volumes which comprise the IAMSAR Manual, 2010 Edition. View the new documents added to this new version. The new price for this enhanced product will be £700 and for the upgrade version, £350. There are discounts available for multi-user licences which apply for each additional copy bought per site (i.e. office, terminal, ship or port) at point of purchase. Please view the demo. The Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) at its sixty-second session in July 2011 adopted the amendments to MARPOL Annex V by resolution MEPC.201(62), which will enter into force on 1 January 2013. The revised Annex V prohibits the discharge of all garbage into the sea, except as provided otherwise. A simplified overview of the revised MARPOL Annex V discharge provisions can be accessed here.
