We are pleased to announce that the new title Guidance Document on the Implementation of an Incident Management System (IMS) is now available for purchase. The document is aimed to be used during the contingency planning process with Sections II and IV of the IMO Manual on Oil Pollution. The new French edition of Guide to Maritime Security and the ISPS Code, 2012 Edition and the updated editions in French and Spanish of 2010 Fire Test Procedures (FTP), 2012 Edition have now been released and despatched. Please note that these updated editions of the FTP Code render the previous ones obsolete.
We remind you that the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Fishing Vessel Personnel (STCW-F), 1995 is set to come into force on 29 September 2012.
At its ninetieth session in May 2012, the Maritime Safety Committee approved the 2012 Amendments to IAMSAR Manual in English and French which are to become applicable on 1 July 2013. These amendments have now been made available for you to download and print. The Spanish version will follow shortly. We remind you that these amendments will be included in the udpated editions of the IAMSAR Manual which will be published in 2013.
Please note that new amendments/errata/corrigenda has been added to our Supplements & Inserts webpage in French and Spanish for HNS Convention and in Arabic for MARPOL. We therefore encourage you to view this webpage and advise you download and print them accordingly. Please remember that these updates are also available to you by viewing the pdf file using the website for IMO Virtual Publications.

Further to a meeting hosted by IMO on 11 September 2012, ECDIS manufacturers are to publish information on updated software in order to help clarify certain anomalies identified in older systems. For further information, please see IMO Briefing 35/2012.
