Page Content Crew Libraries The Maritime Labour Convention recommends (B3.1.11) that companies ensure their ships are equipped with a regularly refreshed supply of quality books for the benefit of sea staff. Today the Marine Society a registered charity based in the UK delivers a crew library service to hundreds of ships throughout the world, making available more than 120,000 books annually. The American Merchant Marine Library Association (AMMLA) Ocean Books Cruise ships libraries and Nautical Bookshops Ocean Books has been providing Library Services to the Cruise Industry for over 25 years commissioning and managing on-board libraries for cruise lines.
