Crew Libraries

September 13, 2013

The Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (Entry into force:20 Aug 2013) recommends that ships include  "a library containing vocational and other books, the stock of which should be adequate for the duration of the voyage and changed at reasonable intervals" (Guideline B3.1.11f).  Crews rely on books for their recreation, education and self-help needs.
