To make an appointment, contact: MaritimeKnowledgeCentre@imo.org or telephone: +44 (0)207 735 7611 stating the purpose of your visit. The Centre is open Monday to Thursday 10:00 - 17:00 by appointment only. It is normally closed to outside visitors in August, during the Christmas week, and official holidays. All visitors other than Delegates, IMO Representatives or interns, require an appointment; they should contact the Maritime Knowledge Centre at least 3 working days prior to their visit. Appointments will be given to students once an e-mail stating the purpose of their visit is received from their tutor/supervisor at least one week in advance. A valid ID with photograph is required. All visitors must be collected at the Security Desk and escorted when they leave the Centre.
The Maritime Knowledge Centre is not in a position to answer technical enquiries. These should be directed to the relevant national maritime Administration or to the flag Administration, as necessary, which are the appropriate channels for dissemination of IMO technical information. Implementation of IMO instruments is the responsibility of national Administrations. Links can be found on the National Contacts page. More links to Administrations’ websites and links to other maritime Organizations can be found in the IMO Directory of Maritime Links.
