This book
published by the Secretariat of the United Nations tells us how
the United Nations is part of our daily life. Through the stories
told in it, we discover that at each moment of the day, we rely
on United Nations Programmes.
As the Secretary-General of the UN states in the introduction: "Our
mission is to assist people all over the world to live better lives,
in safety and dignity; sometimes, it takes massive, complex operations;
sometimes, small actions. But in all cases, we are guided by the
Charter of the United Nations, which begins with: "We, the peoples…"

Little 'Mo is a children's book which tells the story of a
brave little boat.
It was written by Mrs Annie Kean, of IMO's French translation
section and is illustrated by Paul Le Sage of the Printing Unit.
It is designed to illustrate the work of IMO and at the same time
show the dangers faced by the world's seafarers. It is published
in English, French and Spanish.
